The Aesthetics of the Decorative Formation in Al-Nukheila Mosque

Abstract

The current research dealt with highlighting the aesthetic values employed in the decorative designs in the historic Al-Nukheila Mosque according to samples chosen by the researcher intentionally, including the minaret of the Al-Nukheila Mosque, the rooms of the tomb of the Prophet Dhul-Kifl and the dome of the Al-Nukheila Mosque, the northern tower of the mosque. The research included four chapters, the first chapter of which included the research problem through A study of the aesthetic consistency of the decorative formations in the Al-Nukheila Mosque; In terms of its importance, which showed the mechanism of the decorative formation in the mosque and its aesthetic and technical employment, which worked to develop the public taste, and the limits of the research were limited to studying the aesthetics of the decorative formations in question for the period (2018-2019). The spatial boundary was the Al-Nukheila Mosque in the city of Al-Kifl. The objective limits are the decorative formations (vegetal, geometric, epigraphic) on the facades of the minaret, the holy shrine room, the conical dome, and the northern tower. Which was entitled "Decorative Formation in Al-Nukheila Mosque", it touched on the theoretical framework and included two sections, the first of which dealt with decorative formation in Islamic art, and this was done through two points. The first is the beginning of the emergence of decorative art, and the second is the aesthetics of Islamic decorative formation, while the second topic First, the Al-Nukheila Mosque, the location, importance and development, and secondly, by studying the decorative nature of the Al-Nukheila Mosque, while in the third chapter we shed light on the research procedures and included the research community consisting of (4) samples, namely the minaret, the mausoleum room, the conical dome, and finally the northern tower. The research, and the research relied within its temporal limits on the period (2018-2019), and the fourth chapter contained the results and conclusions reached by the researcher.
