Abstract

The roots of beauty in the theater derive from the ideas of the writer and his fertile imagination, and then they are translated into a visible reality through art, so the expressive artistic images associated with the writer are formed, so that he has his own style that distinguishes him from other writers. This research came to study the experience of one of the most important playwrights in the avant-garde theater, who is the Lebanese writer The expatriate (George Shehadeh), who was distinguished by the unique diversity in his artistic styles and in the way of his dramatic treatments, which spread the authentic human spirit in the theatrical text. This research included four chapters. ? This chapter also included the importance of research in that it sheds light on beauty and its representations in the theatrical text, as well as defining the goal behind conducting this research, which focuses on identifying beauty and its representations in the theatrical texts of George Shehadeh and defining it with temporal, spatial and objective boundaries, in addition to the idiomatic and procedural definitions contained in The title of the research, and the second chapter included two topics, where the first topic dealt with the concept of beauty for some Western philosophers, and the second topic dealt with the intellectual and artistic references of the writer George Shehadeh. It consisted of seven theatrical texts by the writer George Shehadeh, from which the research sample was extracted, which was represented in the play (The Tale of Vasco) in an intentional manner and based on the descriptive analytical approach in analyzing the research sample and on the indicators that resulted from the theoretical framework as a tool for analysis. The research concluded in the fourth chapter in listing the results and conclusions The findings of the study in this research, and at the end of this research involved presenting a list of sources and references.
