التطرف الديني من وجهة نظر الشباب دراسة سوسيولوجية في مدينة السليمانية

Abstract

 This research study focuses on religious extremism among university students by discussing the dimensions, causes and manifestations of religious extremis, in order to analyze and explain the phenomenon in terms of quantity and quality. in addition, the descriptive method of analysis was used and the sample of the study was (220) male and female students in both scientific and humanities departments of Sulaimani university and different specialties in order to measure the phenomenon according to variables such as (gender, academic expertise, economic level) the researcher developed a scale that consists of (two main themes), and honesty and stability for the scale was extracted and the king collected the scale forms through the statistical hub for social sciences (spss). the data were analyzed and the research reached the following conclusions;

It has been found that there is no phenomenon of religious extremism among university students. according to the gender variable, male students are more likely to be extremist than female students, and students with good economic status are more likely to be extremist than students with poor economic status, at the end of the study, the researcher made some recommendations and suggestions.
