Production of Colore Ceramic Glaze by Using Glazed Glass

Abstract

 


The current research aims to study the production of ceramic glaze from the wreckage of the car glass and its application to the pottery surfaces of the local clay (Tina Mahaweel in Babul province).The present research includes five chapters. The first chapter includes the problem of the research that was presented and summarized with one question. Is it possible to produce the qualities of stained glass glass using the glazed glass? The importance of research is to protect the environment from accumulated glass residues and transform it in the field of ceramics to enhance artistic and aesthetic taste,


The second chapter included the theoretical framework which included a series of important axes, including a description of the ceramic glass industry as well as the study of the glass components.


The study also dealt with the previous studies, which dealt with one study of the researcher Hyder Abdul-Saheb Jawad al-Yasiri, a master's thesis (use of local raw materials to prepare ready-made ceramic glass and its applications on clay objects) The research used is the experimental method as well as dealing with how to use machines, tools and materials for research and selection of samples.


One glass mixer was formulated using a Seeker base and the Glass crusher was subjected to this rule. The percentages were as follows:Glass Crusher 60%, Sodium carbonate 10%, Alumina 5%,  Pencil 25%. This glass was applied to three different surfaces (pottery, white pottery, transparent ceramics) and two temperatures (900-950).


The beginning of the work was done by mixing the mixture, where the mixture was made without color to produce transparent glass, and a second mixture was re-added with the addition of copper oxide and a third mixture with the addition of the dye. The process was performed at a temperature of 1100 m.


The fourth chapter included the presentation and discussion of the results, which included (28) samples representing all the research community and laboratory tests were carried out.
