Blood and Urine Examinations as Proofs in the Islamic Legislation and the Iraqi Law

Abstract
The aim of this study is to explore modern evidence and its role in proving the crime. Therefore, the study addresses the validity of blood and urine as proofs in the Islamic legislation and the Iraqi law in judging a crime. The study also addresses the reliability of blood and urine examinations as evidence in foreign and Arab laws and the stance of the Iraqi judiciary and law towards them. The study concludes that blood and urine examinations can be considered objective evidence that helps accurately determine the identity of the perpetrator. Among the recommendations, modern means of detecting crime should be recognized and placed in clear, useful and applicable legal texts and materials, in addition to the means and methods of proof existing in the law.
