Anger Rumination and its Relationship to Recklessness among University Students

Abstract

The current research aims to identify: rumination of anger and its relationship to recklessness among university students. The sample of the current research consisted of (125) male and female students from the University of Babylon. Regarding research tools: The researchers adopted to measure anger rumination، which consists of (19) items. The researchers built the recklessness scale after reviewing many scales and studies, which consists of (23) items. The two researchers extracted the psychometric properties of the scale, then the data were treated statistically using appropriate statistical methods, such as the Social Sciences Portfolio (SPSS). The research reached the following results: University students, the sample of the current research, have a high level of anger rumination and a high level of reckless behavior, and there is a statistically significant positive correlation. Between rumination of anger and recklessness among university students. In light of the results, the two researchers presented a number of recommendations and proposals.
