The Effect of Employing Mind Maps Electronically in Comprehending Geography and the Motivation Towards it for TheLiterary Fifth Grade Students

Abstract

The present research aims to identify: (The effect of using mind maps electronically in the collection of geography and motivation towards the fifth grade literary students). The research was limited to the fifth grade literary students in one of the schools affiliated to the Directorate of Education of Babylon in the province of Babylon, and the researcher randomly selected (Al-Khansaa Preparatory School) and (Al-Talee'a Preparatory School) to represent the research sample. The researcher chose Al-Talea'a preparatory school students for girls to represent the students of the disciplinary group to study their the same subject in the usual way, which were (35) students. The researcher conducted a statistical equivalence between the two groups in the following variables (Age in months, parents education level, students grads in the first semester (by the end of the first course/ semester) in the subject of natural geography for the academic year (2018-2019), Hamilton's test of intelligence (mental abilities)) in addition to the control of other variables for the safety of research and identified the scientific material in the last three chapters (the fourth, fifth and sixth) of the book of natural geography to be taught for the fifth literary grade (edition 8), and the researcher  formulated (120) behavioral goal distributed at the six levels in the field of cognitive classification of Bloom (knowledge, understanding, application, analysis, synthesis, evaluation).In addition, the researcher prepared (52) daily teaching plan for the two research groups (26) for the experimental group and (26) for the control group. The experimental group who study according to the use of mind maps electronically on the students of the group The difference was statistically significant at the level (0.05).
